I’m not a huge fan of Playboy right now (note I didn’t even link to them).  They put off taking their company online too long and then to make up for it made some dumb ass purchases.   Now the company has tanked.  Staff at the Playboy mansion has been let go, offices close and now they are facing bankruptcy.  How far the rabbit tumbled.

Anyway, whatever…this ain’t about the current Playboy, it’s about Playboy of yester-year. The Playboy we all snuck out of our dad’s closet and wanked off to as kids.  It was the magazine for naked chicks, because dad’s not buying Hustler or Penthouse with mom around.

Playboy then was sprinkled with glamorous babes with beautiful bodies airbrushed to perfection.  We skiped the articles and wanted more pictures, but that was probably intentional to leave us hungry for more.  You can’t really capture that magic again, because the bottle’s already been opened, but you can look back to enjoy the nostalgia of it all.  That’s what this is about, Playboy’s first good idea in years.
